Voice Teaching Philosophy
Exploring one’s voice can be a vulnerable experience. Christina teaches all ages and ability levels in a student-centered, safe, and supportive environment to foster expression and artistry. Her vocal instruction is functional, drawing on the latest voice science to help students achieve their goals with healthy, age-appropriate technique. Healthy voice function requires freedom of the entire instrument and a development of body awareness. This means that students work to develop chest register, head register, and mix. With extensive teacher training in yoga, Christina has a wealth of knowledge about the human body and how alignment and movement can help release the vocal mechanism.
